What is Pollution?
We are studying Air and Water. We are learning:
We know the Air and Water in our environment are very important. We need to protect these natural resources.
- The air is warmed by the sun and cooled by the Earth.
- There are different types of storms that have strong winds, like hurricanes and tornadoes.
- The air is powerful and can be used to make electricity using windmills.
- Our bodies are mostly made up of water.
- Only 1% of the water on Earth is fresh water that people can use.
- Fresh water is found in lakes, rivers, and icebergs.
- Water is powerful and can be used to make electricity by spinning turbines.
- Water is never lost. It just changes form and moves from the ground to the sky. This is called the Water Cycle.
